Job Description
Are you an experienced and detail-oriented programmer with a strong background in the fire protection industry?
If you have a minimum of two years of fire alarm installation or repair experience, and possess excellent problem-solving skills, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our highly talented team at Onyx Fire as a Fire Alarm Programmer.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers, construction team, engineers, and technicians to understand project requirements and design specifications for fire alarm systems.
- Program and configure fire alarm control panels, devices, and related equipment in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and adherence to all standards and codes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to on-site installation and repair teams during the installation and commissioning phase of projects.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to address any programming-related queries or concerns.
- Stay updated with industry advancements, technological trends, and best practices in fire alarm system programming.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in fire alarm installation or repair within the fire protection industry.
- Proficiency in fire alarm system programming and related software applications.
- Solid understanding of fire alarm control panels, devices, and associated equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams.
