<h2>Flight Controls Engineer</h2> <p>Location: Lindsay, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)<br> Employment Type: Full-time<br> Salary Range: CAD 120,000 – 165,000 gross/year</p> <h3>About the Role</h3> <p>A senior-level Flight Controls Engineer is sought to design, develop, and validate flight control laws and systems for next-generation electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.</p> <p>Flight controls are central to platform performance and safety. In this role, you will interface closely with multiple engineering disciplines, balancing complex and sometimes competing requirements to deliver robust, certifiable control systems. Due to the size of the team, this position offers significant scope for professional growth and exposure to adjacent engineering disciplines.</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li> <p>Design flight control architectures, control laws, CONOPS, system requirements, and analytical models</p> </li> <li> <p>Implement and manage requirements for flight control systems, sensors, and control algorithms</p> </li> <li> <p>Develop creative and robust verification strategies for complex systems and software</p> </li> <li> <p>Enhance flight simulator capabilities and environment models</p> </li> <li> <p>Implement, test, and validate flight control systems and evaluate performance across operating conditions</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with systems, software, safety, and certification teams</p> </li> <li> <p>Stay current with advancements in flight control theory and aerospace technologies</p> </li> <li> <p>Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes to increase safety, efficiency, and reliability</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li> <p>5+ years of experience in flight control laws development</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics and control theory</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience in eVTOL, UAV, rotorcraft, or advanced aerospace platforms is highly desirable</p> </li> <li> <p>High proficiency with modelling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent)</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with eVTOL certification regulations from TCCA, FAA, and EASA</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment</p> </li> </ul> <h3>What is Offered</h3><ul><li> <p>Competitive salary package</p> </li> <li> <p>No fixed holiday cap</p> </li> <li> <p>Competitive group benefits plan</p> </li> <li> <p>Company stock purchase program</p> </li> <li> <p>Hybrid working options</p> </li> <li> <p>Opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced aerospace and eVTOL innovation</p></li></ul>Create Your Resume First
