Forklift Operator
PeopleReady of Calgary, AB is now hiring Forklift Operators! We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Forklift Operator to join our customers dynamic team. The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts in a cross-dock setting, loading and unloading trailers in a cooler environment. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18 – $20 / hour
What you’ll be doing as a Forklift Operator :
* Safely operate forklifts to move goods in and out of trailers.
* Load and unload trailers with a focus on minimizing damage and ensuring accurate shipments.
* Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
* Conduct daily inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues immediately.
* Keep the work environment clean and organized, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
* Keep track of inventory and update relevant logs and computer systems as required.
* Operate within the constraints of a cooler environment, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Available shifts:
Shift Timings: 2nd Shift (Evening), 3rd Shift (Night)
Job requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid forklift certification.
* At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Familiarity with working in a cooler environment is an asset.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Valid forklift certification required
