Free Training Program

Are you a woman in Calgary interested in learning the employability skills to thrive in various parts of the construction industry. Our free training program is designed to teach you what you need to know, provide hands on experience to get you in the field of construction and working Program Date: Mon. May 8 to Fri. Aug 18, 2023 The program will include: 1 week of workplace essential skills training 10 weeks of occupational skills training • Safety Tickets • Blueprint reading • Construction Math • Hand and Power tools safety • Conflict resolution • AIT information session • Hands-on skills training in carpentry, plumbing/pipefitting, electrical, framing, and insulation 2 Weeks of micro-credentials (choice of 2) • Leadership Level 1 – personal leadership • Leadership Level 2 – Site supervisor/Project Management • Smart home installation 4 weeks of work experience such as on-the-job training, site tours, guest speakers, and other projects.
