Full Time Accountant

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team. Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Accountant to manage and oversee our financial transactions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the overall financial health of HTBC Flooring.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Payroll and Commission: Prepare and calculate payroll for the entire company including commission calculation for our sales team.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory team to track and reconcile inventory levels and costs. Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Customer and Vendor Relations: Manage communications with customers and vendors regarding invoices, payments, and financial transactions. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not necessary.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a wholesale or retail environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and external customers. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
