<p><p>Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.</p>
<h3>Position Overview</h3>
<p>Calian Health Services is currently seeking a General Dentist for a full‑time, long‑term position at CFB Edmonton. The General Dentist will provide comprehensive oral care to members of the Canadian Armed Forces as part of the dental healthcare delivery team.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Provide dental examination, diagnosis, intervention, and management of the full spectrum of dental conditions of the oral‑facial complex and anatomical structures.</li>
<li>Manage overall / general oral health needs, including but not limited to disease prevention and patient education.</li>
<li>Develop care plans with the patient as well as the larger, multi‑disciplinary health care team to address patient’s oral health care.</li>
<li>Perform therapeutic procedures in fixed and removable prosthodontics, operative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, preventative dentistry, orthodontics, and oro‑facial pain management.</li>
<li>Provide administrative support, including but not limited to updating patient databases, specialist referrals, and maintenance of patient records.</li>
<li>Other associated tasks relevant to this occupational group.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Must possess a Doctoral Degree in Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine from an accredited Canadian or American dental school.</li>
<li>Must be licensed in Good Standing to practice as a General Dentist with the Alberta Dental Association.</li>
<li>Must have (or be able to obtain) CPR Level C / AED certification.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Additional Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>Candidates must be eligible to obtain (and maintain) a Reliability level Government Security clearance.</li>
<li>Bilingualism (English / French) is a strong asset.</li>
