Overview

Job Title: General Manager and Estimator

Paul Bros NEXTreme Inc. is a multi-discipline company specializing in custom steel fabrication, construction, and mining services across Northern Canada. Headquartered in Yellowknife, NT, we operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, delivering innovative solutions to industrial clients.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee office and shop operations as well as project and job estimating. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader who excels in both strategic operations and the technical precision of estimating large-scale projects.

You must be a Canadian resident and either local to Yellowknife or willing to relocate.

Compensation is based on experience and is competitive and will start at the range $145,000 - $155,000

Responsibilities

• Overseeing general business operations, project execution, and team leadership
• Preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive bids for complex projects
• Developing and executing bid strategies in collaboration with internal teams
• Managing financial reporting, budgets, and operational metrics
• Ensuring company compliance with safety standards, HR policies, and WSCC regulations
• Supporting business development efforts with client presentations and proposal submissions

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, fabrication, or industrial project management
• At least 10 years of estimating experience on large-scale or custom projects
• Proven leadership and team-building skills in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
• Certifications such as WSCC Supervisor Level 2 and Standard First Aid are assets
• Education in business, engineering, construction management, or a related trade is preferred
