General Manager
Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre has an excellent career opportunity for an experienced General Manager. Under the guidance of the Regional Director, and working closely with the Medical Director and team leads in an established and growing hospital, you will ensure operational and service excellence.
In this role, you will be passionate about providing leadership and development for a multifaceted team. You understand and prepare for possible challenges that General Managers encounter; people, processes, and administrative challenges. This does not faze you because you will be proactive in connecting with your teams and leaders regularly. You will require strong organizational, administrative, and people skills to meet occurring deadlines and related company goals. Key responsibilities and attributes for this role are:

Experience with managing multiple Team Leads who supervise approximately 8 staff per department, totaling 140 employees including contractors; delegate, motivate, and coordinate.

Proven ability to work in a busy and sometimes demanding environment where priorities can shift often.

Administrative skills: scheduling staff, document control, filing, various reporting, and coordinating office services (equipment/supplies/forms/procedures).
Qualifications

5 years minimum experience in a General Manager or Senior Operations role leading diverse teams in an environment that is regulated, complex, and fast-paced.

Strong experience working with financials and reporting; labor costs, P&L statements; interpret, leverage, and monitor the data to manage a robust budget/revenue.

Experience in the veterinary industry preferred.
