General Production Worker
Job Description
**Job Overview**We are currently seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Production Worker to join a world-class team in Brampton, Ontario. In this role, you will contribute to the development of power quality improvement products, specifically working within the winding and stacking/assembly areas of the facility.

**Key Responsibilities**
As a vital member of the production team, your daily duties will include:
• **Coil Winding:** Perform fast-paced winding of coils, including setting up the winder, feeding raw metal through the machine, and making necessary adjustments or changeovers.
• **Material Handling:** Safely lift and move raw materials weighing up to 50lbs.
• **Assembly & Stacking:** Stack metal pieces together using epoxy and temporary taping, ensuring structural integrity.
• **Precision Alignment:** Use hammers and specialized tools to align cores accurately.
• **Blueprint Reading:** Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to ensure metal pieces are cut and assembled to exact specifications.
• **Metal Brazing:** Perform brazing tasks when needed, maintaining high safety standards around hot surfaces and sharp edges.
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in mechanical assembly.
• Minimum 1 year of experience reading and working from blueprints.
• Demonstrated mechanical and electrical capabilities.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
**Preferred Assets**
While not mandatory, the following skills are considered a strong asset:
• Prior experience with core assembly, transformers, or switch gears.
• A technical understanding of AC drive systems.
**Work Environment & Schedule**
• **Team Setting:** Work in a small, collaborative warehouse environment with a team of 10-14 employees.
• **Facility:** The workspace is well-lit and fully equipped with all necessary materials and tools. Please note the environment may be slightly dusty.
• **Shift Availability:** Candidates must be flexible to work both Day and Afternoon shifts.
• **Training:** Initial training will take place on the Day shift for the first 2-3 weeks.
