We provide a culture of learning, open communication, professionalism, respect and accountability.We are seeking a Gradeperson to join our team in the Fraser Valley.The successful candidate should be a positive, motivated, outgoing individual who enjoys working outdoors. Relevant experience and qualifications which align with the roles and responsibilities outlined below are required.Responsibilities:Work safely on a construction site and promote a safe work environment by adhering to Company and industry safety policies and procedures including participation in safety meetings.Work with the Foreman and the crew to establish daily layouts and setups.Set elevations and grades for roads, underground utilities, and other needs.Read drawings and check for completeness or errors.Achieve the correct grade by directing Equipment Operators to adjust the grade by moving earth, gravel, and other material.Proficient use and maintenance of different types of levels and survey equipment, including proper storage of equipment at end of the day.Maintain complete field notes and analyze results. Prepare reports as needed.Ability to work as a team with other Crew on daily activities of the site.Qualifications:5 years’ experience in civil constructionExperience as a Gradeperson or SurveyorAble to read and understand blueprints including cut/fills2 years’ experience with GPS; Trimble or TopCon Rover SystemExperience in GPS as buildsExperience with dual plain sloping lasersPossess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.Position is available immediately and local candidates are preferred.
