We are currently recruiting for Apprentice Carpenters in Edmonton for the Terwillegar / Whitemud Drive project!
Shift is 5 days on / 2 days off – chance to work overtime as per site needs.
Responsibilities :
- Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts.
- Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures.
- Look for, and fix deficiencies.
- Check accuracy of work, and make adjustments as required.
- Study blueprints for work planning.
- Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete.
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or take appropriate measures.
Requirements :
- Be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice.
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade.
- CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015 Certifications.
- Fall Protection is an asset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues.
- Reliable transportation.
- Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada.
