Job Description
This position is for a firmware developer focused on providing SSD PCB debug and bring-up capability to accelerate SSD product development. This position will entail working closely with cross-functional teams during the pre and post-design phase for smooth development of products and to meet product schedules.
This role involves:
- Developing C/C++ debug firmware targeting high performance SoC ASICs working at the hardware abstraction layer
- Developing build, test and process automation scripts using Python
- Developing MCU-based firmware for debug boards and fixtures
- Providing debug insight from a firmware perspective on PCB electrical issues
- Interpreting device datasheets and schematics
- Using software development tools such as version control, continuous integration and ticketing systems
- Working closely with the rest of the project teams to develop and qualify SSD products
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Must have taken course work in programming and computer architecture
Relevant experience can be obtained through coursework, classes, projects, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Salary Range: $83,110 – $124,470 CAD
The actual compensation offered will be based on individual skills, qualifications, and experience. We strive to ensure that all employees are compensated fairly and in line with market standards.
