<h3>Overview</h3><p><b>Smiths Falls Site<br/>60 Cornelia St. West, Smiths Falls, ON</b></p>
<p>The Perth- Smiths Falls District Hospital is a two site, 85 bed, community hospital serving a regional population of 44,000. A recent (2011) $43 million dollar redevelopment project at the Smiths Falls site has provided a state of the art facility, including CT and PACs.</p>
<h3>Practice Profile</h3>
<ul>
<li>Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for Orphan / Unattached adult patients</li>
<li>1 week every 4 Weeks ( Saturday – Friday)</li>
<li>Telephone On Call 1730 -2300 hrs</li>
<li>ER covers in patients overnight (2300- 0800 hrs)</li>
<li>28 Medical / Surgical beds with Telemetry</li>
<li>4 bed open ICU</li>
<li>16 - 26 patients maximum</li>
<li>Average # of patients is 20 (includes ALC)</li>
<li>Full complement of specialty back up available locally</li>
<li>Anesthesia / Internal Medicine/ General Surgery/ Ob/Gyn/ Ortho / Urology</li>
<li>Established links with tertiary care centres 1 hour away (Kingston / Ottawa)</li>
