This well-regarded Defence Contractor is a preferred supplier in delivering construction and refurbishment works to defence projects across the country. They have been operating for several years and employ over 1000 people on a national scale.With an increasing portfolio of projects in the commercial space they are looking for a site based HSEQ Advisor to join them in the ACT!
The Role
- Ensure WHS processes are carried out effectively
- Coordinate and manage safety related tasks
- Ensure safety documentation is up to date
- Conduct site inspections, pre-starts & toolbox meetings
- Risk identification & assessment, ensuring regulations are met
- Carry out health and safety audits and work place inspections
- Maintaining the companies IMS
Your requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety
- 3+ years of WHS experience in defence projects
- Be able to develop and maintain relationships at all levels
- Have a good understanding of current legislation, regulations & building codes
- Be articulate, well presented and a clear communicator
