Human Resources Generalist

Are you a self-starter with a desire to achieve results in a fast-paced environment? Well.ca is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate HR Generalist to join their team to assist in the launch of our new Distribution Centre in Calgary, AB. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is ready to take on any challenge. The HR Generalist performs a variety of HR and office admin duties under the general direction of the HR Manager and VP of Operations, such as full cycle recruitment/selection, employee relations, training and development, health & safety, scheduling, reception, and other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Human Resources
Manage full-cycle recruitment: preparing and posting job advertisements, screening incoming resumes, sourcing, conducting preliminary phone interviews, scheduling in-person interviews, administering background checks, and drafting employment agreements
Develop policies and procedures
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
Partner with Leadership team, multiple Hiring Managers and HR Director to set and drive strategy, manage workforce planning, client management and talent acquisition
Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
Responsible for all Health & Safety and WCB management
Run bi-monthly Health & Safety meetings
Handle and investigate employee relations issues
Run reporting for Well.ca
Provide assistance and advice to employees regarding the interpretation and administration of HR policies and procedures

Office Administrator
Labour planning, warehouse scheduling
Assist Director of Operations with ordering of warehouse operations supplies. Order and manage office supplies for Calgary location
Front reception; answer phone/emails and greet visitors
Direct point of contact for facility maintenance; such as cleaners, plumber’s, building maintenance, etc
All other duties and responsibilities as needed



Qualifications:
Post secondary education in Human Resources, Business or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
Proficient knowledge in Employment Law, Health & Safety and WCB process
Ability to work independently
Strong attention to detail
Extremely quick to learn and retain information
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, including Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal skills – capable of working effectively with all levels of staff
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
CPHR designation is considered an asset

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 37.5 hours/week
This is an office-based role
Must be able to work flexible hours when needed
May be required to travel to Guelph, ON office (all expenses will be paid by Well.ca)
