Implementation Project Manager Consultant (7 Month Contract to start with a high chance of extension)

Project Description:
Our client is looking for a an Implementation Project Manager with a background in transformative projects. The successful candidate will complement the clients contingent of staff and contractors and be assigned to primarily assist with the Asset Management Project.
Work Assignment Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be the Implementation Project Manager of CMBC EAM Project. They will provide support across a range of projects/business functions in the project which includes:
- Develops detailed implementation / cut-over plan for each wave deployment of software and devices.
- Collaborates with business, IT stakeholders and vendor partners to ensure all activities for cut over are captured, assigned and tracked.
- Manages and provides deliverables and evidence of knowledge transition to business, functional and technical/IT sustainment teams.
- Ensures all PMO gating requirements to deploy software and hardware are met and presented at gating review meetings.
- Works with Application Architect to develop and deploy Environment and Configuration management governance.
- Manages administration of Environment and Configuration management activities to ensure established governance is met.
- This project is complex and requires an Implementation Manager with experience in transformation projects, stakeholder management, leadership, and communication.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in asset management system implementations or similar enterprise‐level software.
- Proven experience managing environments and cutover activities in complex systems deployments.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, MS ADO, Trello).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In‐depth understanding of asset management processes, tools, and systems.
- Experience with systems integration, data migration, and cutover management in enterprise IT environments.
- Strong problem‐solving skills with a focus on risk mitigation and proactive issue resolution.
- Ability to manage cross‐functional teams and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation or related certifications a plus
