Air Liquide Canada is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented S&OP Industrial Analyst to join our dynamic team at our industrial facility. This key role focuses on the strategic planning, prioritization, and optimization of cylinder assets across all sales channels. The position holder will be a critical decision-maker, collaborating closely with sales, logistics, and production to maximize asset profitability and operational efficiency for Air Liquide. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional computer skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.

This pivotal role is centered on optimizing the planning, distribution, and asset management of cylinders across all sales channels. The analyst will work in close collaboration with sales, logistics, and production teams to drive asset profitability for Air Liquide.

Core Areas of Responsibility:

Planning and Prioritization:

  • Develop and prioritize strategies to optimize asset profitability.

  • Set, implement, and maintain min/max inventory parameters.

  • Approve all orders in coordination with site supervisors for industrial, specialty, and medical gases.

  • Oversee monitoring for 10+ stores and manage prioritization at the Richmond & Winnipeg Hubs/Plants.

  • Use analysis based on product seasonality and actual on-site needs to prioritize and maximize Service Level (OFR).

  • Serve as a key decision-maker for production and logistics, planning priorities across satellites, direct customers, depots, and distributors.

  • Act as a controller for Air Liquide distributors, assessing needs and requiring changes to maximize service levels.

Asset Optimization:

  • Set up performance indicators and evaluate inventory levels to maximize operational efficiency.

  • Identify creative solutions, take calculated risks, and make difficult decisions to increase cylinder rotation at customer sites.

  • Maximize sales while simultaneously reducing transportation and production operating costs through more efficient planning.

  • Manage the asset return program in collaboration with the account executive, providing financial conclusions on the fixed asset impact.

Project Involvement:

  • Participate in acquisitions, depot openings/closings, and special projects (e.g., shut-downs, system conversions, asset rationalization) and various ongoing improvement initiatives.

Are you a MATCH?

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.

  • 2-4 years of experience in an administrative, project coordinator, or support role

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) are highly desirable.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Direct experience working within a chemical plant, refinery, or heavy manufacturing facility.

  • Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and procedures.

  • Specific experience with Management of Change (MOC) processes and documentation.

  • Experience with technical documentation such as P&IDs, equipment manuals, or SOPs.
