Position Summary

The Centre for Workforce Development at Bow Valley College is seeking a Casual Instructor – Extended Education (Residential Real Estate) to play a key role in revising and delivering high-quality learning experiences for adult learners. This position focuses on updating and aligning course materials to meet the requirements of the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA), ensuring compliance with the Real Estate Act (Bill 20), and integrating competency profiles established by Industry Councils. Working closely with an instructional designer, the Instructor will map Blueprint Exam Competencies, address content gaps, and prepare the course for RECA approval. Upon approval and launch, the Instructor will facilitate asynchronous instruction, respond to learner inquiries, and provide ongoing support to ensure a positive and engaging learning experience.

This role requires strong collaboration and communication with the Associate Dean, Centre for Workforce Development, and other College stakeholders to meet project timelines and maintain academic standards. The Instructor will participate in meetings, collaborative sessions, and required training while adhering to all College policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of experience in Residential Real Estate, along with post-secondary instructional or related training experience. Candidates must be a licensed Real Estate Professional through RECA and hold the appropriate certification. A bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field is preferred, and an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced real estate professional to contribute their expertise to the development of future industry professionals while supporting Bow Valley College's commitment to excellence in workforce education.
