Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer – Edmonton Adecco’s client is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join their team of engineering professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of geotechnical engineering tasks, including site investigations, geotechnical analyses, design, and construction supervision. The role requires a high level of technical knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to clients and team members. Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities: Conduct site investigations and fieldwork, including soil and rock sampling, monitoring of groundwater levels, and other related tasks.
Conduct geotechnical analyses, including soil mechanics, slope stability, and foundation design. Prepare geotechnical reports, including interpretation of field and laboratory data and recommendations for construction. Provide technical support to construction teams during construction and assist in resolving geotechnical issues that arise. Communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders, providing technical guidance and project updates.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards. Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant work experience in geotechnical engineering.
Strong technical knowledge and experience in geotechnical analysis and design. Experience with geotechnical software, such as GeoStudio, Plaxis, or similar. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports and communicate with clients and stakeholders. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workload.
Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation or eligibility for registration with a provincial/territorial association of professional engineers.
