The Manager, Investor Relations will play a key role in assisting the VP Corporate Development to manage the development and execution of the Company’s investor relations objectives / plan. The incumbent will help to manage the flow of key financial and corporate information between the Company, its shareholders, and the financial and investment communities. One of the primary goals of the role will be to attract and retain investors, maximize the Company’s visibility, and increase public support and awareness. This role will provide an opportunity to work with a cross-functional team and learn about all aspects of the Company’s operations and teams.

This individual will be responsible for communicating with key stakeholders to keep them informed of company developments and ensuring that the investment community is well informed and positioned on the company. RESPONSIBILITY & DUTIES Facilitates the development and implementation of the company’s investor relations strategy and plan. Develop meaningful KPIs to measure IR strategy success. Lead the development of, coordination of and participate in presentations to shareholders, research analysts and other members of the financial community.

Lead the research and analysis of industry trends on the Company’s peers and regularly report the results and findings to senior management. Monitor industry news, analyst reports, media coverage and public perception, and compile regular reports on tone, topic and issues. Proactively develop, maintain and enhance relationships with shareholders, other current and prospective retail and institutional investors, and sell-side research analysts. Maintain, enhance and conduct analysis on the Company’s investor database.

Prepare monthly management update reports summarizing movements in the overall market, the Company’s standing in the market, social media coverage, metal prices, marketable securities and other significant issues. Prepare quarterly update reports to the Board of Directors. Plan and manage investor meetings, conference calls, Company-hosted site tours, investor days, road shows, and investor conferences. Review and recommend marketing and mining conference initiatives.

Prepare for and attend mining conferences and road shows to market the success of the Company (note that this may involve extensive international travel). Provide an investor relations presentation to all newly hired employees to provide basic information about the Company, its operations and products. Ensure this presentation is kept up to date and informative. Support the Company’s investor relations efforts and be responsible for the investor relations database (e.g., questions from investors, frequency of calls, etc.), review of news releases and quarterly earning scripts, analysis of consensus estimates, and assist in compiling and understanding business data in support of the quarterly earnings call.

This will include the identification of possible questions (and suggested responses) that may be raised on the earnings calls. Conduct research and stay current with changes in the market and industry trends, the Company’s share performance in relation to various peer companies, indices and exchanges. Maintain communications strategies that will enhance the Company’s image and position within the investor marketplace and the general public and facilitate internal and external communication relating to the investor relations. Lead / own the company website – ensuring we have the best possible approach / branding / information possible.

Working with VP of Corporate Development on the drafting of all communications to shareholders / public disclosure documents. Drive / collaborate in company branding and exposure. Responsible for replying to inbound shareholders enquiries: email, telephone, and/or Social Media. Initiate outbound outreach programs targeting key shareholders and analysts with relations to material announcements.

Use cross-marketing strategies between shareholders and bullion sales to increase revenue for our Bullion Store. Liaise and collaborate with the E-Commerce Marketing Specialist. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree and/or advanced degree in Commerce or Corporate Communications. Additional financial training or MBA or CFA would be highly preferred to be utilized in the interpretation of financial modeling results.

Minimum of six to eight years of investor relations experience is required (preferably in the mining sector), with solid capital markets knowledge, equity research or comparable experience. Experience working directly with senior executives and senior investment executives. Experience speaking and communicating with analysts, investors, and the media. Proven demonstration of the ability to discern between information that can be provided to third parties vs. information that is internally confidential.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Ability to grow and maintain an extensive network of industry contacts. An understanding of geology and mine operations would be highly preferred. Skilled at communicating across various social media platforms: eg. Twitter, Instagram, FB, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Hootsuite, etc.

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities simultaneously through the use of excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and high standards on accuracy is critical. High degree of business acumen and ability to think strategically. A pro-active self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently, often encompassing long hours is essential to success in this role.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Working knowledge of graphics software, such as Adobe Photoshop. Working knowledge of Maximizer or similar database management software, Bloomberg, Factset, Capital IQ, BD Corporate. Excellent verbal communication skills (oral, written and presentation) with the proven ability to facilitate meetings.

Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 30% of your time.
