Journeyman Certified Flat Roofer

Role Description

We are seeking a Journeyman Certified Flat Roofer with strong experience in torch-on roofing systems to join our team. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, reliable, and takes pride in high-quality workmanship on flat and low-slope roofs. This is for individuals who want to work with a reputable company on commercial, industrial, and multi-unit residential projects.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Roofer Certification (Red Seal or equivalent) is a MUST!
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in torch-on roofing systems.
• Valid Fall Protection and WHMIS (or OSHA 10/30) certification.
• Hot Works certification (preferred or willing to obtain).
• Able to lift 50-100 lbs and work at heights in various weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of torch safety and fire prevention measures.
• Install and repair torch-applied modified bitumen membrane roofing systems.
• Perform roof deck preparation, underlayment, flashing, and waterproofing.
• Use torches, seam rollers, and related equipment in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain job site cleanliness and organization.
• Follow project plans, specifications, and local building/fire codes.
• Conduct and participate in daily safety meetings and fire watch duties.
