Position Overview:
Are you a motivated, dedicated Red Seal Journeyman Electrician? Our member is seeking a highly motivated, Red Seal Journeyman Electrician who thrives in both team and independent settings. Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Installations & Repairs: Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance in compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently, applying your expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Execution: Lead and manage installations for residential and commercial projects, ensuring work is done on time and within budget.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside team members and project managers to ensure project success, and mentor apprentices, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Technology Use: Utilize time-tracking platforms and maintain accurate records of materials used, ensuring all work is documented.
  • Safety & Quality: Inspect electrical systems for safety hazards, conduct tests, and ensure high-quality, safe installations.
  • Job Status Updates: Communicate regularly with management about job progress, ensuring transparency and efficient project tracking.
Qualifications:
  • Certification: Must hold a valid Red Seal Electrician License (309A).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in residential and commercial electrical work. Experience with solar or specialized systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics; strong problem-solving skills, detail oriented and strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in diverse environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and at heights.
  • Safety Requirements: Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Tools: Personal hand tools and battery-operated drills/impact drivers required.
