Our client is a leading food production facility dedicated to delivering high-quality products and are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Millwright to ensure the smooth operation of their mechanical equipment and systems. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the proper functioning of all mechanical equipment in the facility
- Perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks as required
- Trouble shoot and repair of general equipment, mechanical and electrical
- Provide general maintenance support to food processing machines, conveyors, etc.
- Manage all control systems in the plant, utilizing thorough knowledge of processing and packaging systems.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working in a general maintenance role, manufacturing industry experience is considered an asset.
- Certified as a Journeyman Millwright is required.
- Experience with maintenance and/or repair of similar industrial commercial facility.
- Experience with welding and machining and proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of PMC programs or other preventative maintenance software.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and comply with Company policies, Health and Safety legislation, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and environmental standards.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis, standing for duration of shift.
- Willingness to work as part of a 2 person team.
- Self-motivated, able to work with a sense of urgency within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must have own tools, toolbox, and safety shoes in good repair
- Willingness to work weekend shifts, overtime, and rotating shifts as required
