Jr. Estimator – Cladding

Position:
We are currently looking to hire a Junior Estimator – Cladding to join our growing team. Projects vary from residential multifamily to commercial/ industrial work. Scope of work includes architectural facades and metal roofing systems. Hours are Monday-Friday 6:30 am-4:30pm.
Our Ideal candidate will be a reliable and responsible person who can work efficiently in a team atmosphere, using their knowledge and skills to achieve the task at hand. A safe professional mentality and solid work ethic are important to our company culture. Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of estimating experience in building envelope scope of work.
Key responsibilities:
- Review blueprint and specifications.
- Provide assistance to Senior estimator on a daily basis.
- Perform occasional site reviews to get familiar with each project.
- Perform quantity takeoffs from project plans and specifications.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Support bid preparation by organizing cost data and bid documents.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing information.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to gather bids and scope details.
- Utilize estimating software for data input and cost breakdowns.
- Maintain project documents and cost records.
- Stay updated with industry trends and cost estimating techniques.
- Support the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to improve processes and accuracy.
Assets:
- Building Envelope experience
- Strong skills in Excel and Word
- Ability to read plans and specifications
- Valid Driver’s License required
