Job title: Junior Compliance Analyst Location: Calgary, Alberta Contract length: 01 year Start date: July 22nd Schedule: Mon-Fri (40 hours/week) Hybrid Description : Our client is a major North American energy company based in Calgary, Alberta – Canada, that develops and operates natural gas pipelines, storage facilities and power-generation plants, with focus on renewable energy sources. Responsibilities: • Support in carrying out Inter-Affiliate compliance requirements, primarily with the Canadian Gas Pipelines Code of Conduct and the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Standards of Conduct (SOC). • Conduct and support analysis of routine business processes, assist with regulatory submissions, and improve processes. • Work closely with other departments for data gathering and compliance canvassing. • Coordinate and support processes for daily, monthly, quarterly and annual compliance requirements. • Provide compliance analysis and advice to internal stakeholders. • Analyze personnel changes and manage role classifications to ensure appropriate permissions are implemented. • Database and document management, including use of SharePoint and Workday.

Minimum Qualifications : • Relevant post-secondary education (e.g., Undergraduate degree in Business, Policy Studies, Legal/Regulatory or other related field). • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail • Adaptable and able to handle multiple priorities and manage projects to successful completion on tight timeframes • Experience following and continuously improving business processes • Experience analyzing problems and recommending solutions • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work efficiently and effectively independently, as part of a team and/or with stakeholders • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn, problem solve, share information, meet deadlines and accomplish tasks; • Exhibits integrity and accountability in all work responsibilities • Intermediate working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
