Junior Help Desk Agent

We are looking for a Junior Help Desk Agent for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Position is available as on-site, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. This is NOT a remote role.

Role Description

The ideal candidate will serve as a point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone regarding the client’s portal.

Responsibilities

• Perform general assistance (scripted responses) relating to parent account creation, updates, minor troubleshooting, and service escalation.
• Troubleshoot through problem-solving techniques and pertinent questions
• Positively project professionalism and the Company’s goodwill to customers requiring assistance.

Required Skills and Experience

• Good understanding of computer systems, web browsers, mobile devices and other consumer technology.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with a combination of current Windows and/or Mac operating systems
• Demonstrated success at phone support, use of remote communications such as Instant Messaging and Video calling, and customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to convey ideas and instruction clearly, concisely, and effectively (both oral and written).
• The ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and individually, as required.
• Capture, analyze, and present information with precision, making decisions as to the best course of action.
• Ability to learn product and service/process information quickly and accurately.
• Ability to interact with staff in a polite, helpful and professional manner.
• Excellent communication skills and an effective listener.
