If you love a healthy planet, care about natural ingredients, and want to work in a growing and innovative environment, then Rocky is the right fit for you.The positionReporting to the Senior Procurement Specialist, the Junior Procurement Specialist supports Rocky procurement activities by ensuring all raw materials, packaging and other items are thoughtfully selected, ordered and paid for to meet production plans.This position works from our Workshop in Canmore, Alberta Monday through Friday.What you’ll be doingAnalyze data to provide insights that assist in procurement decision-making and negotiationsPrepare and manage data for material forecasting and analysisManage quality of all incoming raw materials, packaging and other items as per Rocky standardsAssist in trials and testing of new productsAssist in identifying and evaluating potential vendors, suppliers, and contractorsMaintain and update accurate vendor records and test certificatesAssist in creating and processing purchase orders in accordance with established Rocky proceduresSupport the Senior Procurement Specialist in managing relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and servicesDoes this sound like you?Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in a science-related discipline, supply change management, or a related fieldPrevious experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain managementA science or chemistry background is an assetBasic understanding of procurement concepts and practices, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, contract management, or any legal or regulatory requirementsProficiency in using NetSuite or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for procurement activitiesDetail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/vendorsStrong analytical and problem solving skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisionsSystems knowledge including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and ExcelWhat’s in it for you?Significant product discounts and quarterly allowancesSubsidized group medical and dental benefits for you and your familyShare in Rocky’s success – The Great Game profit sharing programGenerous paid annual vacation and personal daysHealthy lifestyle support through an annual allowanceAccess to a dedicated Rocky coach to help you optimize your potentialThe opportunity to participate in Culture Club organized activitiesApplicationWe are accepting applications for the Junior Procurement Specialist position until a suitable candidate is found.Eligibility: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.pZESDr3DKB
