Do you want to make a meaningful impact on the judicial and operational excellence of the Court of Appeal of Alberta?</p><p>As the Knowledge and Information Technology Officer for the Court of Appeal of Alberta, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting the Court's information systems and digital tools. This role leads a portfolio that includes strategic records management, digital information governance, and innovative knowledge-sharing solutions across a legal and administrative environment.</p><p>You will work closely with staff to understand current operational workflows, identify opportunities for digital improvement, and lead the implementation of systems that enhance access, efficiency, and compliance. Monitors performance, takes initiative, and prioritizes what is best for the court even in the face of challenges.</p><h2>Qualifications</h2><br><p>Required: University graduation in a related field (e.g. information management, records management, information technology, library sciences, or a related discipline) plus 4 years of related experience in business analysis, digital process improvement, or systems implementation, with a focus on automating workflows, optimizing information management, or supporting organizational change. </p><p>Equivalency: Directly related education or experience will be considered on the basis of:</p><ul><li>1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or</li><li>1 year of experience for 1 year of education.</li></ul><p>Assets<br><br>Preference will be given to candidates with:</p><ul><li>Work experience in developing and maintaining enterprise information management systems, including digital tools and records solutions.</li><li>Work experience leading or supporting automation initiatives, business process reviews, or digital transformation projects in a complex organization.</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, and Power BI), as well as experience with web design and digital user experience.</li><li>Work experience in translating operational needs into system requirements and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.</li><li>Work experience in change management, user training, and supporting the adoption and implementation of new technologies.</li></ul><p>Minimum recruitment standards outline the minimum education and experience required for appointment to a job classification.<br><br>Refer to</p><h2>Notes</h2><br><p>Position Information:</p><ul><li>This posting is for one permanent, full-time position.</li><li>Location: Edmonton or Calgary, depending on the successful candidate's place of residence.</li><li>Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.</li><li>Some travel between Calgary and Edmonton may be required, depending on operational needs.</li></ul><p>Final candidates will be required to undergo a security screening.</p><p>Any costs associated with obtaining the required documents/checks as noted or interview travel expenses, will be the responsibility of the candidate.
