Job Summary: Bio-Stream Diagnostics Inc. is looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Research and Development team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer, the Laboratory Technician will have expertise in areas of electrochemistry, biochemistry, and process chemistry, understanding how electrical energy can drive chemical processes on electrode surfaces.

Major Duties And Responsibilities Conduct R&D studies Plan and execute experiments Be involved in optimizing for redox chemistries and redox biosensors Participate in interdisciplinary research and development projects working with chemical engineers, biochemists, software designers, technicians, students and other professionals Work closely with both our CTO and CSO to aid in optimization of our electrochemical interrogation technology. Be involved in weekly meetings to develop scientific understanding of the processes being deployed Participate in the commercialization of products Qualifications: M. Sc. minimum, in chemistry, chemical engineering, or material science/engineering with specialization in electrochemistry or biochemistry Recent PhD and MSc graduates are welcome to apply Experience in electrochemical Research and Development and an understanding of redox chemistries Familiarity with electrolytic processes on metal electrode surfaces such a gold Proficiency in problem solving and creativity.
