Our Head Office is in Drayton Valley, AB with a secondary location 5 minutes from Sylvan Lake, AB on Highway 11. Newforce has an opening for an experienced General Labourer.

About this Opportunity: Newforce is currently looking for a General Labourer for our Sylvan Lake location , who is hardworking and reliable to work in the Oil & Gas industry. The individual we are looking for can work in both maintenance and construction for pipelines and facilities. Qualifications and Experience Required: The following tickets and certifications must be valid.

Standard First Aid with AED H2S Alive from Enform Ground Disturbance level 2 Supervisor Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation (CSO) Energy Safety Canada Class 5 license with clean driving record. Drivers abstract within the 30-day period. Fluent in English.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be from the Red Deer Area to be considered. Preference: To those individuals who currently have the following. 2 or more years of experience in pipeline, welding, or pipefitting.

Those that have started their apprenticeship. Confined Space Monitor entry and or Rescue. Fall Protection ticket.

Mobile Elevated Work Platform ticket. Job Duties & Responsibilities Assist in all areas throughout the shop or site location and primarily assist tradespeople and supervisors to complete their tasks. Bolt up, painting, dismantling, repairing equipment, and driving.

Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment, and aid in other activities. Assist in aligning pipes and performing related activities during oil and gas pipeline construction. Load and unload construction materials and or move materials to work areas.

Use of hand tools, such as shovels, hammers, and sledgehammers. Use of power tools, such as grinders, buffers, cutting torches, saws, and pipe threaders. Use of measuring tape, and pressure gages.

Use of spray paint, brushes, solvents, and rags regarding proper storage, transportation, use, and disposal. Complete relevant Safely documents from Newforce and Alberta OHS. Follow all company policies, procedures, best work practices, and rules.

Ability to work safely and maintain a clean work environment. Communicate effectively with supervision and other crew members. Ability to read and follow maps including but not limited to LSD.
