Landscape Construction Worker

We are looking for a labourer; however, if you fall into the skilled labourer position and have more experience and are interested in working with us, please apply. Starting wage is not fixed to $20-25/hr. It depends on experience, skills and enthusiasm for our craft.

Skilled labourer would start at $25-30/hr. For example, our last hire, earlier this year, started at $23/hr and went up to $25/hr by 2pm in the afternoon of day one because he showed some valuable experience and focused hard work. At three months in, his wage increased to $28/hr because he had improved immensely and took on more responsibility and ownership of his work.

We want to keep and reward excellent employees, so we are incentivized to increase your hourly rate accordingly. What we are looking for in a new labourer: Punctuality – this is important because we, as a team, rely on each other. Desire to work hard and consistently push a project forward.

Driven to learn and grow in your skills and knowledge. A sincere interest in quality in every detail and building beautiful landscapes What we offer our employees: Flexible time off for ‘Life’, such as doctor appointments, banking, long weekends, etc. Health benefits ( start 3 months after first day); including $1000 per year to use towards anything related to health, dental, eye care, massage, chiro, etc etc.

All reimbursements are managed through an app and is easy and quick We are serious and focussed on our work thoughout the day, set within a friendly, inclusive and casual atmosphere on site. Fair pay and raises – It’s simple: We want to keep excellent employees, so we are incentivized to increase your hourly rate accordingly. If you do excellent work and cover all the basics, like showing up on time, having a positive attitude and consistently working hard, your pay will increase at the same rate.

What you will be doing while working with us: Carpentry – Decks, Fences, Pergolas, Roof Structures, Concrete Forming. Masonry – Flagstone patios and walkways, Water Features, Boulder Placement and retaining walls, Retaining Walls, Stone Facing, Stair Risers. Hardscape – Pavers, Concrete Block Walls, 4×4 or 6×6 Retaining Walls, Poured Concrete Walls and Flatwork.

Softscape – Design and installation of new gardens, modifying and improving existing gardens, and Landscape Maintenance. Irrigation and landscape lighting, etc. Water features, ponds, etc.

Your starting hourly wage will be determined based on experience, skill level, and enthusiasm for our craft. Raises are based on length of employment and increases in ability and responsibility. The majority of our work is in North and West Vancouver; we also work in Vancouver, Burnaby, and beyond for special projects.

We’ve worked on Bowen Island, Eagle Island, and the Sunshine Coast. For any project outside of a 30-minute drive from ou rhome base, North Vancouver, employees get paid for travel time. Thanks so much.
