The successful candidate will supervise a team of logistics staff, ensure timely and compliant movement of materials and finished goods, and maintain efficiency across all domestic and international shipments.<br />This role requires solid knowledge of <b>U.S. import/export practices, customs documentation, and FDA regulatory compliance</b> for cross-border shipments.<p><hr /></p><b>Responsibilities</b><ul><li>Supervise all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving operations to ensure on-time, damage-free, and compliant deliveries.</li><li>Lead and train logistics and shipping personnel, providing guidance, scheduling, and performance feedback.</li><li>Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily logistics activities to support production and customer schedules.</li><li>Manage freight carriers, coordinate LTL, courier, and international shipments, and ensure proper documentation.</li><li>Prepare and review customs paperwork, commercial invoices, FDA documentation, and certificates of origin for U.S. exports.</li><li>Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and timely system updates.</li><li>Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records in <b>Spire</b> or other ERP/MRP systems.</li><li>Monitor and enforce <b>FIFO</b> and safety procedures across all logistics areas.</li><li>Resolve shipping discrepancies, freight issues, and customs clearance delays.</li><li>Identify and implement improvements to reduce logistics costs and streamline operations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and company quality standards.</li></ul><p><hr /></p><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li>Minimum <b>5+ years of logistics, warehouse, or transportation experience</b>, with at least <b>2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity</b>.</li><li>Proven knowledge of <b>cross-border U.S. shipments</b>, <b>customs procedures</b>, <b>FDA requirements</b>, and <b>DG product handling</b>.</li><li>Strong understanding of inventory control, supply chain, and freight management principles.</li><li>Proficiency with logistics and ERP software; <b>Spire experience preferred</b>.</li><li>Valid forklift license and strong working knowledge of warehouse safety practices.</li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.</li></ul><p><hr /></p><b>For more information, please visit us at www.amico.com.</b><br /><i>We respectfully request no calls or unsolicited resumes from agencies.</i><br /><i>Only selected candidates will be contacted.</i></p></p>Create Your Resume First
