LTO Assignment: French Prep & Planning 0.25 FTE


Long Term Occasional Assignment (LTO). The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking an LTO teacher to cover a teacher on leave at the designated school.


Responsibilities



  • Provide coverage for a teacher on leave in the French Prep & Planning classroom.

  • Deliver French language instruction and maintain instructional continuity.

  • Support student learning during the assignment period.


Required Qualifications



  • Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.

  • Completion of the Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT.

  • Must use a current OCSB email address (OCSB employees must use their OCSB ATE account; personal email accounts are not accepted).


Salary


Salary for the position is determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement. Effective September 1, 2025, teacher salaries range from $51,234.00 to $119,943.00.


Selection Process



  1. Board identifies the three most senior applicants who are available and qualified.

  2. Applicants must not have been assigned to another LTO position during the term.

  3. Selected applicants are contacted to confirm their interest; if declined, the next senior applicant is considered. Five applicants in total are considered.

  4. If fewer than three qualified applicants apply, selection comes from the qualified pool.

  5. If no qualified occasional teachers apply or all decline, the board may hire an external qualified teacher not on the OT roster who must pass the OT interview process.
