<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>SIEL Human Solutions on behalf of our client is looking to hire a <strong>Full Time Maintenance Mechanic-Millwright (afternoon shift).</strong><p>Our client, located in Saskatoon, SK is a global, high-tech engineering group providing solutions that enhance productivity, profitability and sustainability for the manufacturing, mining and infrastructure industries.</p><p>The<strong> Maintenance Mechanic-Millwright is </strong>responsible for performing mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, machines and facilities.</p><p>If you have 2-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment with post secondary education in mechanical technology or a related field, with solid hands on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, than this position is for you!</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, machines and facilities</li><li>Performs emergency / unscheduled repairs of production and packaging equipment</li><li>Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs of production and packaging equipment</li><li>Reads and interprets equipment manuals, engineering drawings, work orders, and other information sources, to perform required maintenance and servicing</li><li>Responsible for knowing and following all Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, DSI, and Site Safety and Health rules including maintaining a safe-work environment by enforcing a strict standard of housekeeping in the immediate and surrounding work areas utilizing 5S principles.</li></ul><p><strong>Communication:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide input and recommendations for equipment purchases and replacement.</li><li>Recognize unsafe acts and corrects the situation, making suggestions on creating a safe and healthy work environment.</li><li>Communicates with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner.</li></ul><p><strong>General:</strong></p><ul><li>Troubleshoots presses, furnaces, threaders. conveyors, saws and automated production lines</li><li>Uses lathes, mills, welders and grinders to aid in repairs and maintenance</li><li>Works closely with Production & Maintenance Supervisor on various projects and preventative maintenance</li><li>Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions</li><li>Completes other duties as assigned to meet business needs.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>2-3 years experience in a production or manufacturing environment.</li><li>High School Diploma or G.E.D. required</li><li>Post-secondary education in mechanical technology or related field</li><li>Solid hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.</li><li>Responsible for knowing and following all Standard Operating Procedures, Occupational Health & Safety, DSI and site rules including maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing a strict standard of housekeeping in the immediate and surrounding work areas utilizing 5S principles.</li><li>Self-motivated, analytical, and accountable</li><li>Strong leadership and problem-solving skills</li><li>Basic computer skills</li><li>Demonstrated positive attitude and work ethic</li><li>Ability to understand and provide troubleshooting on all equipment.</li><li>Continually strives for improvement</li><li>Eagerness to learn and take on more responsibility</li><li>Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and seek more opportunities</li><li>Offers additional help when required</li><li>Willing and able to learn how to maintain new equipment</li><li>Ability to work
