Position: Maintenance/Reliability Engineer
Location: Hamilton, ON
Industry: Heavy Industrial
Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
A leading organization in the heavy industrial sector, is seeking a Maintenance/Reliability Engineer to join their team in the Hamilton area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment while driving continuous improvement in maintenance and reliability programs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement reliability strategies to enhance equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct root cause failure analyses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize asset reliability.
- Lead predictive and preventive maintenance initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance metrics, creating reports and recommendations for improvements.
- Support capital projects by providing technical input on equipment selection and design.
- Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance in all maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- P. Eng designation is an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance or reliability engineering within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), root cause analysis, and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Proven track record of implementing maintenance strategies that reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
