<p><b>Purpose:</b> We are currently recruiting for a Manager II, Procurement Contracts. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full‑time position based in Markham, Ontario.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Manage contracting department team members, manage and direct work directly.</li>
<li>Complete contract assignments for all phases of contractual undertakings.</li>
<li>Complete prime contract flowdowns as required by Projects.</li>
<li>Recognize and resolve conflict.</li>
<li>Advanced understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field.</li>
<li>Assist others and troubleshoot issues.</li>
<li>Visualize and design new concepts and ideas related to functional area of expertise; broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and sometimes lead organizational change effectively.</li>
<li>Effectively communicate and present complex program proposals and reports to executive level management; persuade and influence others; participative management style with a cooperative team approach. Proven leadership skills in multicultural and possibly multinational environments. Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.</li>
<li>Contracting plan and strategy development for large/mega Projects.</li>
<li>Manage all contract activity for customers potentially on multiple Projects. Travel to the customer office or to the project site may be required, either before the contract receives final approval or during the life of the contract.</li>
<li>Ensure accuracy and timeliness of contract administration. Coordinate with affected groups to ensure proper support in contract administration, proposal preparation, and negotiations.</li>
<li>Review requests for proposals particularly to identify risks and terms which may not conform to Company policy.</li>
<li>Negotiate the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with customer management.</li>
<li>Formulate and issue construction contracts of all sizes and work scopes.</li>
<li>Pre‑qualify and prepare lists of bidders, receive and evaluate bids, prepare contacts and bid documents.</li>
<li>Interview contractors and potential contractors and make appropriate recommendations.</li>
<li>Prepare commercial summaries and letters of recommendation, post awards, administer contracts (correspondence, progress minutes, filing, change management, and performance measurement), monitor contractors' performance and conformance to commercial terms, and approve progress invoices.</li>
<li>Communicate with customers to secure approvals in accordance with established procedures. Interact with engineering and construction departments to comply with terms, revisions and amendments.</li>
<li>Participate in contract termination, claims or dispute settlements according to delegated authority, conduct close‑out review and process back changes.</li>
</ul>
<h3>What you will bring</h3>
<p><b>Technical and Industry Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Mid‑level relevant experience including supervisory, project management and/or technical experience.</li>
<li>Experience working with large EPCM Projects, mining scope of work and managing mining contractors.</li>

<h3>Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training</h3>
<p><b>Required:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>BA/BS degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent or relevant experience.</li>
</ul>
