What you will be doing:
- Lead multi-functional development team in the maintenance and evolution of backend and client-facing applications for Rexall flagship loyalty program.
- Define application roadmap in line with business priorities.
- Oversee the full agile software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing and support
- Drive product architecture and technology evolution.
- Perform code reviews regularly with all developers.
- Willing to work after-hours to assist with deployments and troubleshooting.
- Define and enforce coding standards, architecture best practices, and development guidelines.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI, PIPEDA, FHIR).
- Collaborative with QA teams, ensuring the successful execution of test plans, identifying and resolving defects, and ensuring that product releases meet high-quality standards before launch.
- Evaluates technology vendors and solutions. Manages budgets to optimize mobile development resources and project outcomes.
How you will succeed:
- University Degree or College Diploma in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in software development, with experience leading and mentoring developers.
- Strong knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), methodologies, processes, standards and best practices for web and mobile development.
- Expertise building .Net/C# Core Applications
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience building high-performing scalable architectures
- Familiarity in setting up Kubernetes and Docker containers
- Strong understanding of web technologies (web apps, HTTP, JavaScript)
- Experience with Android and iOS mobile app development (Kotlin and Swift)
- Proficient in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, automating builds, testing, and deployments
