Our Calgary office seeks a Manager to join the SR&ED Group, with responsibilities including:
- Leading and supporting SR&ED client engagements, focusing on target industries and collaborating across the country.
- Building and maintaining client relationships as a trusted advisor.
- Examining client operations and gathering evidence to support SR&ED tax credit claims, maximizing incentives.
- Coordinating a team of consultants to prepare and submit SR&ED filings.
- Communicating progress and issues effectively within the team.
- Training staff and investing in their professional development.
Success in this role is defined by:
- Understanding the industries BDO serves and contributing to the group’s growth.
- Completing work accurately and ensuring proper review, maintaining technical knowledge.
- Implementing quality and efficiency improvements.
- Engaging in performance and development discussions with leaders.
- Supporting revenue growth through client referrals.
Qualifications and experience:
- CPA designation completed.
- Interest or completion of the In-Depth Tax Program (asset).
- Recognized subject matter expert with 3+ years of SR&ED experience, in industry or consulting.
- Deep knowledge of SR&ED rules and policies.
- Team-oriented, client-focused, detail-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
