Title: Marketing and Business Development Specialist Location: 4344 12 Street SE, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, T2G 3H9 Department: Marketing Reports To: CEO or President Purpose of Job: The Marketing and Business Development Specialist is responsible for the development of sales and marketing strategies and execution of all marketing and communications publications, in collaboration with our digital advertising partner.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. The successful individual will be responsible for the brand integrity of the company and strategically position the company as a trusted source for knowledge while establishing the company’s status as an industry leader. The successful candidate will also oversee the launch and managing of new products and associated brands to meet profitability goals and targets.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards: 1. Develop and maintain a portfolio of compelling case studies showcasing our group of products and successful client projects 2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching potential customers, attending industry events, and conducting outreach campaigns 3.
Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients through cold calling, email marketing, and in-person meetings to generate qualified leads 4. Collaborate with the sales team to develop targeted sales strategies and proposals tailored to specific client needs 5. Manage the company’s social media presence to increase brand awareness and engagement, including LinkedIn Marketing 6.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and refine marketing strategies with our external agency partner 7. Participate in trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the company’s offerings and establish industry presence 8. Report on marketing and business development metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness, in collaboration with our agency partner Requirements: 1.
Proven experience in B2B marketing, lead generation, and business development roles 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 3. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 4.
Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM software 5. Familiarity with industrial manufacturing processes, as well as oil & gas and terminology 6. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Education: 1.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, sales, or business administration, or equivalent. Experience: 1. Minimum 5 years working experience in marketing for an industrial company (i.e. oil and gas, mining, etc.) Other: Some travel may be required to attend and conduct presentations at events.
