The Mechanical Designer will work hand in hand with other team members, under the guidance and supervision of the Mechanical Engineering Manager. Your Role Responsibilities:

• 
  Ensure the proper execution of mechanical related projects under supervision of the supervisor.
• 
  Develop drawings, preliminary layouts, and sketches utilizing computer-assisted design/drafting programs. Set up drawing and work with internal and external designer and drafters.
• 
  Review projects with supervisor and distribute to team resources.
• 
  Perform construction administration tasks.
• 
  Survey and evaluate existing systems at job sites.
• 
  Attend client meetings and contribute to discussions.
• 
  Share project objectives with team.
• 
  Be responsible for the quality of deliverables, costs, schedules, and project efficiencies.
• 
  Develop relationships with clients, meet expectations, and ensure their satisfaction.
• 
  Participate in business development, as required.
• 
  Build relationships with external clients and meet company growth objectives.
• 
  Ensure the proper execution of mechanical related projects under supervision of the supervisor.

What Youll Bring To TCG:

• 
  Minimum of 3-5 years of direct industry experience in the field of mechanical building services. Retrofit experience is preferred.
• 
  Diploma / Degree from a mechanical building services technical program or an engineering program.
• 
  Strong leadership qualities and mentorship skills.
• 
  Good working knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems.
• 
  Knowledge and understanding of the National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code.
• 
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a drive and ability to collaborate and problem solve as part of a team.
• 
  Ability to utilize both verbal and written forms of communication to effectively communicate internally with colleagues as well as externally with clients.
• 
  Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects working in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines.
• 
  Must be proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office Applications.
• 
  Highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail is a must.
