The Mechanical Engineering EIT will work within the engineering team of the midstream oil and gas company in Calgary, Alberta. This is a one-year contract to start with loads of room for progression. This position will involve providing technical support in the design, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems related to the midstream operations.*Key Responsibilities:*1. Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems for midstream oil and gas facilities.2.

Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure the integrity and efficiency of mechanical systems.3. Collaborate with senior engineers to review and approve mechanical designs, specifications, and drawings.4. Support the implementation of mechanical projects, including commissioning and testing activities.5. Participate in field inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.6.

Assist in the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.7. Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and performance of mechanical equipment.8. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in mechanical engineering.*Qualifications:*1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.2.

EIT designation in the province of Alberta or eligibility to obtain EIT status.3. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.4. Proficiency in engineering software tools for design and analysis (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS).5. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.6.

Prior internship or co-op experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.7. Knowledge of midstream oil and gas operations and equipment is an asset.8. Commitment to safety, quality, and professional development.
