A Great Opportunity for a Project Manager in Abbotsford Your New Company: Are you looking to join a well-known, community-based contractor in Abbotsford with a century of combined industry experience?. Our client is renowned for providing custom mechanical solutions to residential and commercial projects across Vancouver and Abbotsford. With a long-standing reputation and a secure client base, they are currently working on multiple exciting projects.
Your New Role: As a Project Manager, you will liaise with senior management and act as the main contact for stakeholders. You will build relationships with vendors, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors. Key duties include procuring estimates, drawings, and permits, preparing equipment and material lists, and creating site foreman binders.
You will also handle purchasing for sub-trades, materials, and equipment, manage shop drawings, and ensure timely delivery of equipment. Regular site visits and monthly reviews are necessary to track progress and report for billing. Additionally, you will aid in project scheduling, manage changes, and ensure proper documentation.
Effective project close-out and compliance with safety standards are essential, along with maintaining client relations and professionalism. What You’ll Need to Succeed: The ideal candidate is self-motivated and eager to exceed expectations. You should work well both independently and in teams, effectively communicating and inspiring your colleagues.
You will manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and perform well under pressure. Detail-oriented, you hold a valid trade certificate and have at least 10 years of on-site mechanical experience. You possess broad knowledge of plumbing and HVAC trades and are proficient in software like Timberline and Microsoft scheduling.
Excellent organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
