RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and lubrication on machines and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Weld, repair, and fabricate equipment or machinery components
- Assemble and install machinery using hand and power tools
- Align and position machines and equipment using precision measuring tools
- Connect, test, and evaluate the mechanical operation of production equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Fabricate or dismantle parts, equipment, and machines using cutting torches or other tools
- Move and position heavy machinery using hoists, rollers, and lift trucks
- Build or repair machine foundations using appropriate tools and materials
- Maintain inventory and organize storage of parts, tools, and equipment
REQUIREMENTS
- Red seal in Millwright required
- Completion of post-secondary program in Millwright is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience as a millwright in an industrial environment required
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and fabricating metal components
- Experienced with fluid and air-powered systems, including maintenance and repair
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Strong problem-solving abilities in fast-paced industrial environments
- Capable of assembling, aligning, and installing heavy machinery and equipment
