Reports To: Mitigation Manager

Full-time/On-Call rotation
Hourly $25-$28 Based on experience/certifications

What does a Mitigation Technician with Paul Davis Kingston do?
  • Serve others within your community in their time of need
  • Make a difference for others that have had a disaster strike their property
  • Work hard and take pride in completing projects (i.e. mitigating flood and fire damage)
  • Be empathetic and show a sense of urgency while communicating through modern technology
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Damage Assessment:
  • Inspect properties and items to assess the extent of damage.
  • Document findings, take photographs, and create detailed damage reports using industry mobile apps and PC
Restoration Planning:
  • Develop restoration plans and strategies to return assets to their pre-loss condition.
  • Estimate costs, timelines, and material required for restoration projects.
Damage Mitigation:
  • Take immediate actions to mitigate further damage, such as securing structures, removing water, or preventing mould growth.
  • Set up drying and dehumidification equipment as needed.
Cleaning and Restoration:
  • Clean and sanitize damaged areas.
  • Remove and dispose of debris and damaged items.
Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and questions.

Qualifications (Requirements):
  • High school or equivalent required, knowledge of restoration techniques, tools and equipment preferred
  • Computer and mobile app skill required (Xactimate estimating preferred)
  • Desire to join a world-class team and contribute a positive attitude
  • Dedication to customer service
  • Fluent in English
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Willingness to work in emergency and on-call situations, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 75 LBS frequently
  • Desire to continually learn new things

Job Responsibilities:
  • High level performance of water mitigation, tarping, board up
  • Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, properly stocked and organized truck and maintain all company equipment.
  • Be accessible by phone and participate, as necessary, in the on-call schedule.
