Multi Skilled Labourer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our very busy client located in the SE of Calgary AB. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse set of skills in construction and maintenance. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations at our facility. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support traffic flow, equipment functionality, materials handling, and general site maintenance.- Full time / 44 Hours per week.
- Schedule - Two weeks Mon -Fri / Two weeks Tue to Sat rotation
- 7.30 m to 5.00 pm Tue to Fri
- Mon and Saturday will be 7.30 am to 4.00 pm
- This is a 1 year contract with extension

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage traffic flow and bay door operations to ensure safe and efficient movement of collection trucks within the facility.
- Support team members with inspections of incoming feedstock and separate non-compostable materials.
- Assist in general labor duties such as cleaning, organizing materials, and performing facility upkeep and improvements.
- Work collaboratively with the team to assign tasks, prioritize activities, and ensure performance targets are met.
- Accurately complete all required documentation and reports in a timely manner.
- Consistently wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, glasses, hard hat, respirator, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in facility operations, labor-intensive environments, or equipment maintenance is an asset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in outdoor or industrial settings.
- Must adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Must have own vehicle for reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
- This is a Compost Facility - You wil be exposed to various odors.
- Physical work environment involving lifting, standing, and exposure to various weather conditions.
- Required use of PPE at all times.
