Reporting to: Development Officer, Northern Lights College Foundation


Temporary, Part Time (28 hours/week with the possibility of up to 30 hours/week)


Salary: Classification 11, $28.62 – 29.50 per hour, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional $0.58/hour in lieu of benefits and have 6% vacation pay paid out with each pay.


Description:

Under the direction of the Development Officer, this position will coordinate various Foundation projects according to the project plans, deliverables, and timelines including tracking and monitoring budgets. This includes the 50/50 project at the Dawson Creek Fall Fair & Exhibition and requires availability between August 5-10, 2025, from 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

This role serves as the lead contact for all projects, assisting students, staff, faculty, and partners with all enquiries related to the foundation projects.

The successful candidate coordinates, attends, and leads all virtual and in-person project meetings and events.

The NLC Foundation Projects and Partnerships Facilitator prepares all project related documents including proposals, project updates, financial reports, and project narrative reports, and has connection to community.


The weekly schedule will ideally be Monday – Thursday, from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

If the position hours are increased to 30 hours per week (decision made by May 1, 2025), the weekly schedule will be:

Monday – Thursday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 8:00 – 10:00 am.



Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold a diploma in a related discipline with a minimum of two years of experience in either social media marketing or non-profit organization, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You will have demonstrable previous experience coordinating events, committees, and focus groups.

The successful applicant should have superior interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to deliver presentations to groups, multi-task, the ability to build working relationships with other staff and departments and be able to prioritize while meeting tight deadlines. Must be able to demonstrate ability in the use of Microsoft Office (including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).



A current and valid driver’s license is required.
