Role and Facility Information

Surrey Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time temporary community-based obstetrician and gynecologist for a period of one year. The OBGYN group is looking for an individual with an interest in primary care and consultative obstetrics to join a cohesive team. We embrace a culture of diversity and collaborate with a dynamic team that includes physicians, midwives, and nursing staff from various disciplines. Further training in reproductive infectious disease, advanced family planning, menopause and/or quality improvement would be an asset. There is an opportunity to join an existing practice.

This position will have full obstetrical and gynecology privileges at Surrey Memorial Hospital and outpatient gynecologic privileges at the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre. Active participation in the obstetrics and gynecology call rota at Surrey Memorial Hospital is a requirement for this position. Our department also provides education to medical students and residents on a regular basis. As a member of the Fraser Health medical staff, you will participate in the University of British Columbia (UBC) medical education program and are expected to apply for a clinical faculty appointment in the Division of Obstetrics & Gynecology, UBC.

Provisional license is acceptable and supervision available for US board certified physicians.

Located in Metro Vancouver, Surrey is a beautiful and rapidly growing community within the Fraser Health Authority. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2025 or sooner.
