About the Opportunity
Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, the Occupational Therapist provides consultation, assessment, treatment and follow-up of clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. The OT works in a variety of settings: inpatient hospital, community, and long-term care. The objectives of treatment are to facilitate, restore and/or maintain clients' optimal level of function. The Occupational Therapist provides intervention to address clients' occupational performance components (physical, cognitive and/or affective). The Occupational Therapist provides education and support to clients, families and caregivers. The Occupational Therapist functions as a member of a multidisciplinary hospital and/or community health care team.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Graduate of a C.A.O.T recognized School of Occupational Therapy
- Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS)
- BCLS certification
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, creativity, problem solving and organizational skills is required
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits
$38.43 - $50.99 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
