Occupational Therapist – Port Alberni

The Alberni-Clayoquot Continuing Care Society is an independent, non-profit organization operating two long-term care Homes (Fir Park Village & Echo Village) in Port Alberni, British Columbia on beautiful Vancouver island. We are currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Occupational Therapist. Relocation incentives may be offered as part of the compensation package.

Position Summary: Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Occupation Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) as well as within a client and resident centered care model. Plans, develops and implements rehab assessment and intervention for residents. Collaborates with management team, interdisciplinary team members, education resources and other health care professional/providers to achieve excellence in health services and education.

Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy and two years’ experience in residential care working with older adults or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapist of British Columbia. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
