Position Responsibilities Program Planning and Delivery Provides leadership to the Contract and System Specialists (2), ensuring a positive workplace culture, efficient operations and coordinating all related supervision documentation. Develops an in-depth knowledge of all CECT programming activities. Oversees CECT’s system and database coordination, contract management process, Invoice & service agreements and all other financial purchasing transactions.
Participates on RDP committees as needed to ensure course delivery and technology requirements are met within the division. Financial Coordination and Accounting Supports Program Coordinators with accounting and budget reviews for specific portfolios. Leads the CECT Year-end financial activities.
Plans, prepares and follows through on documentation related to purchasing accounts payable, accounts receivable, such as: Invoice confirmation and Audit Contract tracking Invoice & Payment Requests Audit Partnership agreement payment Tracks and monitors account receivable and student payment plans. Continuous Improvement Coordination Acts as a key contributor to the evaluation and modification of program delivery processes in CECT, recommending areas for enhancements, improvements, and change. Identifies insufficient processes, provide solutions, and implements revised processes or procedures in consultation with colleagues.
Recommends creative solutions, develops project plans, and manages projects through to implementation/delivery. Coordinates special projects for the division using project management and LEAN Six Sigma principles. Required Qualifications Four (4) year undergraduate degree inBusiness Administration or Accounting A minimum of three to five years relevant experience Ability to champion and lead change; a proactive, collaborative, results-orientated style Ability to work in a dynamic, ever-changing, fast-paced environment with multiple demands, competing priorities and numerous deadlines Must have strong financial and accounting acumen Ability to use and interpret complex data to accurately advise and inform decision makers Strong analytical skills, ability to think outside the box, and apply creative solutions to issues presented Able to advance multiple operational initiatives and decision points within established timeframes and budgets Strong leadership and teambuilding skills Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and conflict resolution skills Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion, and maintain confidentiality Effective organizational, time management, and planning skills Excellent oral, written, and technical skills Proven ability to determine priorities, be self-directed, and work with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Accounting Designation an asset Lean Six Sigma Yellow belt certification and/or PMP (Project Management designation) preferred Knowledge and awareness of the operation of a post-secondary institution is preferred Salary or Hourly?.
Salary Salary $62,965 – $73,660 annually Benefits and Compensation Information Red Deer Polytechnic offers a comprehensive benefits package including extended health and dental care through Blue Cross, access to a health spending account, pension plan, Employee & Family Assistance Program, generous vacation allotments, credit tuition waivers and opportunities for professional development funding. Additional time off due to Institution closures between Christmas and New Year general holidays. Eligibility to access the above mentioned benefits dependent upon the AUPE Collective Agreement and related RDP policies.
